Mateusz Skrzypczak Transfer from Jagiellonia Białystok to Stoke City
Mateusz Skrzypczak is drawing attention from Stoke City, a team in the English second division. His contract with Jagiellonia Białystok includes a release clause of 900,000 euros, which is viewed as affordable by foreign clubs looking to secure his services. Besides Stoke City, the 25-year-old defender, who was recognized as the best defender in the previous Ekstraklasa season, is also being targeted by Austrian club Rapid Wien. Skrzypczak has achieved notable success with Jagiellonia, having won the Polish championship, a bronze medal in the Ekstraklasa, the Polish SuperCup, and reached the quarter-finals of the Conference League. Polish champions Lech Poznań are also interested in signing him. Lech Poznań, his former club and one he personally supports, has already extended a contract offer to him, which could facilitate his return if veteran defender Bartosz Salamon leaves the team.
