Polish midfielder Mateusz Czyżycki, 27, a free agent since his contract with Odra Opole was not renewed, is close to joining Resovia Rzeszów, according to information from Kamil Bętkowski. The portal Podkarpacielive.pl confirms these reports, adding that the player is currently training with the second-league team and a decision is expected by the end of the week. Previously, Czyżycki had also trained with Puszcza Niepołomice and was on the radar of Stal Stalowa Wola, though in both instances a deal was not finalized. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €150k.
