Strasbourg are expected to demand a fee of approximately €45-50 million (£39-43 million) for Godo, who has one cap and one goal for his country. Other clubs are also interested in bringing the player back to England, including Leeds United, Aston Villa, and West Ham United. Coventry's manager, Frank Lampard, might use his Chelsea connections to his advantage in negotiations, as both Strasbourg and Chelsea are owned by the BlueCo consortium. Godo's contract with the French club is valid until June 2030, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €18.00m.
