Marko Farji has completed a permanent transfer to sc Heerenveen from Venezia, with the move being announced on Tuesday. The deal for the 22-year-old was initially expected to be a loan, but was finalized as a permanent signing. The Iraqi-Norwegian international, who has 14 caps for Iraq, has signed a contract until 2030. Technical manager Johan Hansma stated that the club had been following Farji for a long time and was convinced of his qualities, adding that he is a talented attacker with experience in various competitions despite his age. Farji, who his new club describes as a versatile winger, joined Venezia from Norwegian side Strømsgodset in January 2026 and went on to make two appearances for the Italian team. His current market value is €1.70m, according to Transfermarkt.
