Marko Milovanović Transfer from Almería to Portsmouth
Portsmouth are close to signing Serbian striker Marko Milovanović from Spanish club Almeria, having overcome competition from Portuguese side Alverca. Portsmouth have had an offer of over £3 million accepted for the 22-year-old after an initial £2.5 million bid was rejected by the Segunda Division side. Alverca had hoped to bring the player back on loan and made an offer that included 50% of his rights, but Almeria preferred a sale due to the striker's increased market value. The transfer will result in Almeria making a profit on the £3 million they originally paid to Partizan Belgrade four years ago. Personal terms are not expected to be an issue as Milovanović wants to move to the Championship. The Serbian youth international, who has three caps for the U19 team, is under contract with Almeria until June 30, 2028. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
