Ajax is showing interest in Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo. According to Italian reporter Gianluigi Longari, the club has contacted Al Hilal regarding the 23-year-old, with Longari stating on X that negotiations are underway. Al Hilal is reportedly willing to let Leonardo depart as the club already has strikers Karim Benzema and Darwin Núñez. In January, Leonardo was linked with Atlético Madrid, but a deal was not completed. The striker had moved to Benfica from Santos for twenty million euros in January 2024 before Al Hilal acquired him six months later for forty million euros. His contract with the Saudi club runs until June 30, 2029, and his current market value is €20.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Leonardo has been capped once by the Brazil U23 national team.
