Marcin Bułka Transfer from Nice to Manchester United
Marcin Bułka's transfer to Manchester United has been halted due to UEFA regulations, preventing his move from OGC Nice to Old Trafford. According to Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl, the ownership structure is the main issue, as INEOS owns OGC Nice and holds shares in Manchester United, which restricts transactions between the two clubs. This restriction will remain in place until September 2025, or until Jim Ratcliffe sells his shares in one of the clubs. Consequently, it is practically impossible for Manchester United to directly acquire the 25-year-old player. Despite the interest, Manchester United is not expected to engage a third club to facilitate Bułka's transfer to Old Trafford this summer.
Ruben Amorim is determined to secure the signing of Marcin Bulka, making him a priority for the January transfer window. Amorim has assured Bulka that he would be an undisputed and instant starter at Manchester United. The transfer fee is reported to be €20m (£16.5m, $21m), which Manchester United is prepared to invest. This move is part of Amorim's strategy to find a replacement for Andre Onana, who has not been able to impress the new United boss despite being a £43.8m signing. In his efforts to strengthen the team, Amorim has encouraged the club to invest in Bulka, considering the deal to be an affordable option for the Red Devils. Bulka, currently playing for Nice, has excelled as their first-choice goalkeeper, notably keeping more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in Ligue 1 last season and recently earning the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award in September 2023.
