Marcel Łubik has been loaned to Górnik Zabrze from Augsburg to become the first-choice goalkeeper. This transfer is part of Górnik Zabrze's strategy to enhance their goalkeeping squad after the departures of goalkeepers Filip Majchrowicz and Michał Szromnik at the end of the previous season. The club, which boasts fourteen Polish championship titles, recognized Łubik as a promising candidate for the primary goalkeeper position. In addition, Tomasz Loska returned to the club and agreed to take on a secondary role, even though he had received a more financially rewarding offer from another Ekstraklasa club, to act as Łubik's backup.
