Maxi Oyedele, a 22-year-old Polish-English midfielder, has not played for RC Strasbourg this season and has not been included in a matchday squad. It is suggested that a winter transfer is the only option for the former Manchester United youth player, whose career at the Ligue 1 club has not progressed, which was initially due to health issues. His current absence is not believed to be injury-related, which is supported by his call-ups to the youth national team. Legia Warszawa, where Oyedele previously made 24 appearances, is reportedly considering acquiring a new midfielder and may consider his return. Legia's sporting director, Fredi Bobic, stated that the club had considered strengthening its defense in the summer and will now assess potential transfers, including in midfield. He clarified that he is not committed to a specific course of action and acknowledged that it is not an ideal transfer window, but they are working on it. Any potential transfer is dependent on the French club's position, as Oyedele's contract is valid until June 30, 2030. Oyedele joined Strasbourg in July 2025 and has made five appearances for the Poland U21 team. His current market value is €5.00M according to Transfermarkt.
