Al Ahli has signed the young French and Guinean defensive midfielder Ibrahima Diaby from Cercle Brugge on a four-year contract. The player, born in 2007, came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, where he captained several youth teams before starting his professional career in Belgium, joining Cercle Brugge in July 2025. Al Ahli described the signing as being an important investment for the future and a technical reinforcement for their squad. Diaby expressed great satisfaction with the transfer, stating that it was an important step in his career and that he was ready to do everything he could to achieve the team's goals and please the fans. According to reports from September 2026, the transfer package is worth €13.5 million, with an initial fee of approximately €10 million.
