Mads Bidstrup Transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest showed interest in Danish midfielder Mads Bidstrup, who is 24 years old, and made a second offer to Salzburg, reportedly agreeing to pay 20 million Euros including bonuses. Despite this offer being twice Bidstrup's market value of 10 million Euros, Salzburg turned it down. The initial speculations about Nottingham's interest surfaced in early August. Salzburg's Sporting Director, Rouven Schröder, assured fans that they were optimistic about Bidstrup staying with the club. Nonetheless, this optimism did not prevent Nottingham Forest from placing another bid, as reported by the 'Salzburger Nachrichten.' Despite the generous offer, Salzburg remained steadfast, with only Sturm Graz having previously sold a player for a comparable sum when Rasmus Hojlund transferred to Atalanta for 21 million Euros. Bidstrup's contract with Salzburg is due to expire in June 2028.
