Towards the end of the transfer window, FC Copenhagen was looking to add an offensive player, and RSC Anderlecht's Mario Stroeykens was one of several players connected with the club. There was dialogue between the 21-year-old Belgian and DR Congo attacking midfielder's representatives and the Danish capital club, but this did not lead to a transfer. At Anderlecht, sporting director Antoine Siberski has publicly encouraged Stroeykens to find a new club. The player has two years remaining on his contract and may be allowed to leave in January. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.50m. Anderlecht's asking price for the player was reportedly €6 million in August 2026.
