The 30-year-old currently earns around £200,000 per week, and it is not expected that United will offer the same level of wages if new negotiations occur. If United decide to keep Shaw, the club may consider a structure similar to Harry Maguire’s recent renewal, which includes lower guaranteed wages with bonuses and performance clauses. In 2023, United’s official website confirmed that Shaw signed a deal until 2027, and Sky Sports also reported on that contract extension at the time. The defender, who joined the club in July 2014, made 38 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Shaw has been capped 34 times for England, scoring three goals. His current market value is €8.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
