Pumas are in advanced and ongoing negotiations to sign 30-year-old Argentine winger Luciano Herrera from Newell's Old Boys. The club is looking to add another winger for their attack following the departure of Jordan Carrillo. Herrera is coming off a complicated season in which he recorded one assist over 17 matches and 877 minutes played. He is seen as a potential substitute who could offer experience and play on either wing or possibly as a center forward. Herrera joined Newell's in January 2026 and his contract runs until the end of December 2028. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.00m.
