According to a report in the French press, Galatasaray has made a move for young Belgian striker Lucas Stassin from Saint-Étienne. The report stated that the Istanbul club has made the 20-year-old player a high priority on its transfer list in order to strengthen its attacking line. While it was also noted that different clubs from across Europe are interested in the footballer, it was reported that Galatasaray has officially entered the competition to sign the player and is closely monitoring the player's situation.

A list compiled in Turkey has identified Lucas Stassin, a 21-year-old Belgian centre-forward from Saint-Etienne, as a potential reinforcement for Galatasaray. The club is reportedly considering options like Stassin as a future investment for their attack, a strategy that is being pursued alongside the potential acquisition of a star player like Victor Osimhen. The one-cap Belgium international, who joined Saint-Etienne in August 2024, is under contract until 2028 and scored 11 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 Ligue 2 appearances during the 2025/2026 season. In addition to the interest from Turkey, clubs such as Sporting Braga, Rennes, and Porto have also been recently linked with the player, whose current Transfermarkt market value is €15.00m. While reports in June 2026 suggested a transfer would require at least €15 million, Saint-Étienne's asking price was reportedly as high as €35-€42 million in late 2025.
