Luca Weinhandl has been linked with Arsenal, and it has been claimed the club could look to sign him from Sturm Graz in 2027. According to Sky Austria reporter Eric Niederseer, there is widespread interest in the player from England, Germany, and Spain, but he did not explicitly state that Arsenal want to sign the teenager. Niederseer explained that Weinhandl himself wants to keep developing at Sturm Graz in his first year as a senior starter, and a transfer in the winter is not an option. However, it was stated that the situation will be different in the summer. It was also reported that there is a high probability that Weinhandl will move to a top-five league in Europe.

Arsenal is pursuing 17-year-old Luca Weinhandl of SK Sturm Graz and is aiming for a transfer in January 2027. According to teamtalk.com, a package worth £20 million, which is approximately €23 million, is being discussed. It is reported that initial talks with the Gunners have already taken place but are still at an early stage. Rumours suggest that the reigning Premier League champion is targeting his signing in January, the month in which Weinhandl turns 18.

Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Arsenal are monitoring Austrian midfielder Luca Weinhandl ahead of the January transfer window. The club's manager, Mikel Arteta, and its hierarchy are understood to consider Weinhandl a suitable long-term addition to strengthen their midfield. It is believed that initial contacts have occurred, with discussions remaining at an early stage. Sources suggest that a fee of approximately £20 million (€23m, $27m) could be sufficient to secure a deal. Arsenal reportedly views the January window as an opportunity to sign the player before competition increases.

Sturm Graz coach Fabio Ingolitsch responded to questions at a press conference about the alleged interest from Arsenal in Luca Weinhandl. He stated that in the present day, rumors are formed because so much information can be given to a person, and that they do not care about it at all.
