According to Tuttomercato, Empoli is considering a move for Luca Mazzitelli to reinforce their midfield, as manager Alessio Dionisi may require a player who is prepared to be integrated into the team's rotations. Mazzitelli, who is owned by Como, has had very limited playing time during his loan at Cagliari, making only five appearances in 13 matches, all as a substitute. His season has also been affected by a calf problem which is reportedly nearing full resolution.
