Fiorentina are planning a squad rebuild in January and are looking to add an attacking midfielder, and 23-year-old Serbian international Lazar Samardzic is considered a key candidate for the position. Samardzic is not considered a central part of the project at Atalanta, and several other clubs have also recently expressed interest in him. The midfielder, who has 26 caps for Serbia, joined Atalanta in July 2025 and has a contract until 2029. This season in Serie A, he has made 14 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. His current valuation is €15.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Atalanta activated a purchase option to sign him from Udinese in June 2025 for a reported fee of €14.8 million.
