Despite discussions and Bielik's interest in joining Legia, financial issues prevented the transfer. Birmingham City demanded two million pounds for Bielik, and he wanted to maintain a salary of around one million pounds per season. Birmingham City is not interested in loaning Bielik.

Legia Warsaw had reportedly expressed interest in Krystian Bielik, a 27-year-old Polish defender and midfielder, around a year ago. With Birmingham City recently achieving promotion back to the Championship, it appears that Bielik might be leaving the club, as they are open to receiving offers for him. Bielik, who was a regular starter until January 2025, has seen a reduction in his playing time, leading the club to contemplate selling him to ease their financial burden due to his significant weekly wages of 20,000 pounds. Although he wishes to continue playing in the Championship to enhance his international career, a move back to the Polish league with Legia Warsaw is possible if he consents to a considerable pay cut.
