West Bromwich Albion have joined Bristol City and Southampton as clubs interested in signing Viking central midfielder Kristoffer Askildsen in the January transfer window. All three teams are monitoring the Norwegian international's performances. A strong end to the 2026 Eliteserien season could convince one of these clubs to make an offer for him when the next transfer window opens. The 25-year-old is currently playing in the Norwegian top-flight and has attracted attention with his performances in the 2026 campaign, in which he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 20 appearances. Askildsen, who has one cap for Norway, is under contract until the end of 2028 and has a current market value of €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
