Hertha BSC has expressed interest in acquiring Kristian Hlynsson, a 21-year-old Icelandic attacking midfielder who is currently playing for Ajax. Icelandic sports journalist Orri Rafn Sigurdarson reported that Hertha BSC, as well as Fortuna Düsseldorf, AZ, and FC Twente, have all shown interest in Hlynsson. Ajax seems willing to consider Hlynsson's departure, as they previously attempted to include him in a deal for Robin Roefs, which NEC turned down. Hlynsson, who spent the last six months on loan at Sparta, where he appeared 14 times, scoring two goals and providing three assists, has a contract with Ajax that is set to expire in mid-2026, giving him one more year with the club.
