Freiburg is interested in signing 26-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen as a potential replacement for Noah Atubolo. It is reported that Scherpen is one of several candidates for the position, along with Mio Backhaus, Dennis Seimen, and Nahuel Noll. Union SG acquired Scherpen from Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee of 2 million euros, and Brighton is entitled to 40% of any profit made on a future transfer.
