Linfield have signed 21-year-old English attacking midfielder Kitt Nelson on a season-long loan from Preston North End. Kitt Nelson arrives at Windsor Park after scoring five goals in 33 games on loan at Cork City during the 2025 League of Ireland season. Nelson came through the Preston academy but has not yet made his senior debut for the Lilywhites. His contract with Preston North End expires on June 30, 2028, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €150k. Kitt Nelson stated that he was really happy to be there. Nelson said that he heard about the interest a few weeks ago and was keen as soon as he heard about it. Nelson added that once the process began it was completed very quickly and he was happy to be there now.
