Kauan Lindes, a 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder from Botafogo, has been announced as a new signing for Athletic. He joins the Minas Gerais club on loan until the end of the Campeonato Mineiro 2016. Previously, he was involved in some matches under Davide Ancelotti and was speculated to join RWDM Brussels, though that deal did not materialize. Botafogo signed him in January of the current year for R$ 1 million for 80% of his rights, with a release clause of 20 million euros valid until 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at €400k.
