Jusuf Gazibegović Transfer from FC Köln to Sturm Graz
Jusuf Gazibegovic will be loaned to Sturm Graz until the end of the season. According to Sport director Thomas Kessler, Gazibegovic wished for a move in the winter after having little playing time. Kessler also stated the loan to Graz is seen as a very good solution, as it allows him to return to a familiar environment and gain regular match practice.
SK Sturm announced the arrival of full-back Jusuf Gazibegovic. The 25-year-old joins on loan from 1. FC Köln until the end of the season. Michael Parensen stated that for the coming half-year, they are getting a player who can cover both full-back positions at a very high level, knows the club and its style of play very well, and is what he described as a real mentality player who will be very beneficial for them. Parensen added that they wanted to expand their options in defense and quickly decided to bring him back to Graz on loan as the opportunity arose due to Gazibegovic's recently limited playing time in Köln. Jusuf Gazibegovic said that everyone knows how much SK Sturm means to him, what a great time he had there, and that he has always followed what happens in Graz. He stated that when the chance arose to return on loan, he decided quickly. Gazibegovic hopes to get a lot of playing time and wants to work hard with the team every day to help them achieve the best possible result in every single game.
According to Laola1.at, Jusuf Gazibegovic has joined SK Sturm Graz on loan from 1. FC Köln. The full-back returns to the 'Blackies' on loan until the end of the season, which is less than a year after his departure to 1. FC Köln. Following promotion to the German Bundesliga, the Bosnian national player did not establish himself under Lukas Kwasniok, making only one appearance of 22 minutes. At SK Sturm Graz, the former fan favorite is expected to regain his previous form.
According to the newspaper 'Mein Bezirk', SK Sturm Graz is working on bringing 25-year-old Bosnian right-back Jusuf Gazibegović back from 1. FC Köln. The Austrian club is reportedly looking to re-sign the former fan favorite, who had moved to the German side the previous January for a fee of two million euros. Gazibegović, who has 23 caps for his country, has made just a single substitute appearance this season at Köln under coach Lukas Kwasniok and has recently not been included in the squad. His contract in Germany runs until June 2028, and his market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt at €3.00m.
