FC Lorient is seeking a medical joker after Abdoulaye Faye sustained a long-term injury and has identified Julien Le Cardinal as a target. According to Ouest-France, the club has initiated contact with Brest to assess the feasibility of a loan for the central defender. The 28-year-old Frenchman has been used sparingly this season, making four appearances and scoring one goal in Ligue 1. Le Cardinal joined Brest in July 2024 and is under contract until June 2027. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m.
