According to L'Équipe, Ibrahima Baldé joins Lorient from Rodez on loan with an obligation to buy set at 3 million euros. Five goals in four matchdays convinced Lorient to sign Ibrahima Baldé. He had previously scored a hat-trick against Nantes and two more goals since the start of the season. The player had played 54 minutes in four appearances with Lens in Ligue 1 in 2021-2022.

Ibrahima Baldé, who was particularly impressive in Ligue 2 playing for Rodez, has been officially loaned to Lorient. The loan deal includes a purchase option set at 3 million euros. The move has been confirmed for the 2026/27 season.
