Widzew Łódź has initiated talks regarding a transfer for Juergen Elitim from Legia Warszawa. Michał Żewłakow confirmed that discussions about the Colombian-Spanish defensive midfielder are in progress, adding that he did not want to provide details while the season was still underway. Despite a significant dip in the 26-year-old's form, Legia had wanted to extend his contract, which expires on June 30, 2026, but another Ekstraklasa club may acquire him first. Widzew, a team described as fighting for survival, reportedly aims to replace the injured Lukas Lerager. Elitim's current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt, and he has previously been linked with Deportivo La Coruña and Atlético Nacional.
