Lazio and Fiorentina both contacted Sevilla in the current transfer window to inquire about Spanish right-back Juanlu Sánchez, 22. Bournemouth are in advanced negotiations with the Spanish club for the player. The English club has reportedly been more decisive in its pursuit. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the clubs are very close to an agreement for Sánchez to sign a contract until 2030. The deal is also expected to include a clause for Sevilla to retain a percentage of a future sale. Sánchez has previously attracted interest from other clubs, including Napoli, which had an offer rejected after its sporting director travelled for negotiations, as well as English clubs Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest, which also held talks with Sevilla. Sevilla's asking price has reportedly been in the €18-20 million range, and in the summer of 2025 Wolverhampton had an offer of €17-18 million accepted before the player rejected the move. The player, who has 13 caps for Spain's U21 team, has a current market value of €10.00m according to Transfermarkt.
