Coventry City are considering a move for Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his squad for their return to the Premier League. According to talkSPORT, Coventry have identified Acheampong as a potential addition and Chelsea could consider either a loan or permanent proposal before the transfer window closes. The Times reports that Acheampong is regarded as one of the defenders Chelsea do not want to sell permanently.

Coventry City manager Frank Lampard is reportedly interested in a loan deal for Chelsea's 20-year-old right-back, Josh Acheampong. Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Arsenal have also shown interest in the England U21 international. Although the Chelsea hierarchy has labelled Acheampong as 'untouchable', a temporary departure is reportedly a possibility because he started only eight Premier League games last season.
