Reading FC has signed 22-year-old English attacking midfielder Josh Stokes from Championship side Bristol City, on a season-long loan. Stokes joined Bristol City in January 2024 for a reported €290k, and has a contract with the club until June 2028. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 52 appearances in League One, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists. Stockport County was also reported to be interested in the player. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €400k.
