Josh Key Transfer from Swansea City to Oxford United
Oxford United have entered into formal talks with Swansea City over a potential move for defender Josh Key. The club has presented a deal to take the 26-year-old on loan for the remainder of the campaign. Key, who joined Swansea from Exeter City in the summer of 2023, has been selected less frequently since Vitor Matos's appointment as manager in November, starting just three of the new manager's first 13 games after being a regular under former boss Alan Sheehan. Oxford's pursuit of Key may have been influenced by a setback in their search for a right-sided defender. Sky Sports separately reported that an enquiry for Luton Town's Isaiah Jones had been rejected. The English-Irish defender's contract at Swansea runs until June 2027. In 22 Championship appearances this season, he has not registered a goal or an assist. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value to be €1.00m.
