According to Bild, Dynamo Dresden is again interested in 23-year-old German right-back Jonas Sterner from Hannover, with the club reportedly re-engaging in discussions with the player. This pursuit is part of a continuation of the club's summer transfer targets, a plan in which coach Thomas Stamm had a significant role, and is proceeding even after the dismissal of former sports boss Thomas Brendel. Sterner joined Hannover in July 2025 and is under contract until 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €500k. For the 2025/2026 season, he has made one appearance in the 2. Bundesliga and four in the Regionalliga Nord, and has one cap for the Germany U18 team.
