Jonah Kusi-Asare Transfer from FC Bayern München to Sporting CP
Sporting showed interest in acquiring Jonah Kusi-Asare, but the player opted to join Fulham. Sporting, alongside Anderlecht and PSV, were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the player. Jonah Kusi-Asare, an 18-year-old forward of Swedish-Ghanaian descent, sought more opportunities for playing time. Although he had a contract with Bayern Munich until 2026 and a market value of 2.5 million euros, he was drawn to Fulham amidst interest from several clubs, including Sporting, Anderlecht, and PSV. Fulham managed to secure Kusi-Asare on a loan arrangement with an option to purchase, while Bayern Munich retained a buy-back clause. The loan fee could rise to 4 million euros, and Kusi-Asare has extended his contract with Bayern beyond 2026. Journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed the decision, mentioning that any paperwork issues were resolved before finalizing the deal.
