Chesterfield Football Club has signed 26-year-old English midfielder Joel Randall from Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan. The deal was finalized late on deadline day. Randall stated he was happy about completing the move and that Chesterfield was his preferred destination for the season. He also stated that he had been aware of the club's interest for a couple of weeks, during which contact was intermittent. In that time, he had been monitoring the club and made inquiries about the manager, the club, and its fans. He said the positive feedback he received made the decision an easy one for him. The transfer is subject to relevant approvals. Randall's contract with his parent club, Bolton Wanderers, runs until June 2028. His current market value is €500k, according to Transfermarkt. Bolton reportedly paid Peterborough United a £1.3 million fee for Randall in January 2025.
