Bologna is considering Juventus' 26-year-old Portuguese right-sided player João Mário as a potential option in case Emil Holm's transfer to Napoli is finalized in the final hours of the transfer window. Espanyol is also pursuing the player, having requested a loan until the end of the season from Juventus, an operation to which João Mário has reportedly already given his approval. João Mário joined Juventus in July 2025, has a contract until June 2030, and has been capped three times for Portugal. In the current Serie A season, he has made 10 appearances and provided one assist. His transfer from Porto in July 2025 was for a fee of €12.6 million, and a potential transfer in January 2026 was reportedly valued at approximately €11 million; his current Transfermarkt market value is €8.50m.
