Portsmouth have made a bid of approximately £1m for Antalyaspor midfielder Jesper Ceesay. They face competition from Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh, and it is also reported that Al-Fateh have submitted an offer. This is not the first time the 24-year-old Gambian international has been linked to a move to England, as a transfer to Bolton Wanderers previously did not happen. Ceesay, who has three caps for his country, has spent one season in Türkiye, where he was a key player for Antalyaspor. The club's relegation from the top flight has made a potential summer transfer to the Championship possible. He is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €1.50m.
