Crystal Palace could reportedly be planning new contract talks with 31-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Jefferson Lerma in order to secure his future at Selhurst Park. Former Premier League scout Mick Brown discussed Lerma’s future with Football Insider, stating that he expects they will be planning to extend his deal and keep him at the club beyond the end of the season, because there are already enough players who might be leaving. Brown added that a lot will depend on what he wants to do and whether he wants to stay, and that they will have to sit down with him before making a decision that works for everybody. The Colombia international, who has 62 caps for his country, has made 24 appearances and provided 3 assists in the Premier League this season. Lerma, who has a current market value of €8.00m according to Transfermarkt, has been linked with clubs including Palmeiras, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş.
