Derby County are going to sign Burnley's Dutch winger Jaydon Banel on loan for the rest of the season. It is reported that the 21-year-old will complete the 25/26 season at Pride Park. Banel joined Burnley from Ajax on the last day of the transfer window last year after he apparently rejected a contract extension with the Amsterdam club, where he progressed through the youth system. Derby have monitored the winger since he was at Ajax and have now signed him, despite interest from other Championship clubs and teams in Spain, Germany, and Belgium. It is understood that Burnley expects Banel to return to Lancashire at the end of the season and has excluded any option to buy. Jaydon Banel earned an estimated £7.5k-a-week last season in the second-tier, according to Capology estimates. Banel has been capped by the Netherlands at the U20 level. He has a contract with Burnley until June 30, 2029, and has not made a first-team appearance in the Premier League this season. His current market value is estimated at €1.00m by Transfermarkt.
