According to Marca, Osasuna paid 500,000 euros to Atletico Madrid for Javi Galán's services until the end of the season. Atletico Madrid will receive double that amount if Osasuna remains in Primera and Galán stays with the team. Galán will then have the option to extend his contract with Osasuna or consider offers from Arab football.

Mundo Deportivo reports that during Javi Galán's presentation as an Osasuna player, the sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, stated that Galán was a player the sporting direction had long desired. Vázquez stated that the player chose Osasuna over 10 or 12 teams that were following him. Vázquez also described the operation as very viable economically.

Javi Galán, who joined from Atlético Madrid, was presented as a new player for Osasuna at El Sadar on Wednesday, after he completed his first training session on Monday morning. The new Osasuna footballer expressed that he was convinced about the decision to sign for the team and assured that he is very excited to be able to contribute starting this Saturday against Athletic Club de Bilbao. Galán also revealed that conversations with the sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, and encouraging words from his former teammate Alejandro Alfaro were decisive factors. The player confirmed that he spoke with the coach before the signing was finalized, a conversation which he had very good feelings about.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Atlético de Madrid has announced an agreement with Osasuna for the transfer of Javi Galán. Osasuna will make an initial payment of 500,000 euros for the 31-year-old. The operation, in which Galán has signed until June 30, 2026, includes a series of variants. If Galán remains at the club, Atlético reserves the option to receive an additional 500,000 euros for each new season he plays for Osasuna and the team achieves permanence in LaLiga.
