Janis Antiste Transfer from Sassuolo to Rapid Vienna
According to 'Kurier', an obligation for Rapid Wien to purchase Janis Antiste for more than three million euros would be activated should the forward reach a certain number of competitive appearances. Antiste is at present on loan from US Sassuolo. It is reported that Rapid Wien is considering two options: terminating the loan contract or removing the purchase obligation. He could remain at the club as a regular loan striker if coach Johannes Hoff Thorup continues to include Antiste in his plans.
Janis Antiste, who was trained at FC Toulouse, has previously cost over 10 million euros in transfer fees to Spezia Calcio and Sassuolo. The forward, who is now on loan at SK Rapid, was also loaned from Sassuolo to Amiens, Reggiana, and Nürnberg. According to Peter Stöger, Antiste is an incredibly diligent and technically excellent player who can read the game and knows where to help. Stöger also noted that the player is not harmless in front of goal and stated that they hope he will show that and be a very important player for them.
Janis Antiste has left Sassuolo to join Rapid Vienna on a loan deal that includes a conditional obligation to buy. After spending six months on loan at Nuremberg, the French forward has opted to move to Austria. He successfully completed a medical examination and signed with Rapid Vienna, a move that has been confirmed by both Sassuolo and the Bundesliga club. Antiste is set to wear the number 90 jersey at his new club. Markus Katzer, the Sporting Director of Rapid Vienna, expressed admiration for Antiste's versatility and technical skills, emphasizing his potential and experience in top European leagues. Katzer mentioned that Antiste is capable of playing as a central striker or in a two or three-man attack and highlighted his proven scoring ability, particularly from his recent time at Nuremberg.
