After Romeo Amane's departure to Anderlecht, Rapid Wien is seeking to loan their former player Nikolas Sattlberger, who is an Austrian defensive midfielder. The 22-year-old's departure from Genk could be prompted by Amane's move, as Sattlberger's playing time at Genk has been limited. The Austrian youth international went through Rapid's entire academy before he joined Genk in 2024. He had lost his midfield position, and the recent arrivals of Ravych and Tahirovic further diminished his prospects. Bob Faesen reports that Rapid Wien has made a formal loan approach to Genk. Genk seems willing to facilitate a transfer, but a deal needs to be completed quickly since the transfer windows in Austria and Belgium both close on Thursday evening. Sattlberger's contract with the Belgian club is valid until 2029, and his market value on Transfermarkt is currently €2.20m. Bologna has also been linked with the midfielder.
