AEK has rejected an offer from Rangers for 27-year-old Scottish full-back James Penrice. The offer was close to €3.5 million. There is also strong interest in the player from both Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor. Penrice joined the Greek club from Hearts in July 2025 for a reported fee of €2.3 million, and his current contract runs until June 2028. This season, he has made 12 appearances in the Super League 1. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.5 million.
