Jakob Lemmer has extended his contract with second-division club Dynamo Dresden. The two parties had been negotiating for more than three months, and the talks initially broke down due to a disagreement on the amount of a release clause. According to BILD, the extension was not a priority for almost five weeks after the club secured its league status on May 17. However, both parties have now agreed to the extension. Lemmer explained that he intentionally did not want to make a hasty decision and that the club, the city, and the people have become very dear to him over the past years. Dynamo Dresden sporting director Sören Gonther said he is pleased about the contract extension.
