Portsmouth have signed forward Jacob Brown on a loan deal from Luton Town until the end of the season.

Portsmouth are in advanced talks to sign Luton Town's Scottish international forward Jacob Brown ahead of the 7pm deadline. Portsmouth has moved ahead of Barnsley in the pursuit of the player. Barnsley were in discussions for the 27-year-old, but interest from Pompey, offering a return to the Championship, has placed the South Coast club in the lead. The move would conclude a difficult period for Brown at Luton, where he has struggled to get back into the first-team after recovering from a knee injury in November, prompting manager Jack Wilshere to be willing to let the forward leave. Brown, who has 8 caps for Scotland, joined Luton on August 10, 2023, and holds a contract until June 30, 2027.
