Iwo Kaczmarski completed an unexpected transfer to Inter Milan shortly after making his debut for Empoli in Serie B. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder moved to the renowned club on a loan deal that includes a mandatory purchase clause for an undisclosed fee. He is set to begin his tenure at Inter with the third division reserves, Serie C - Girone A. Previously, Kaczmarski enjoyed a successful loan period at Miedź Legnica, which attracted interest from several clubs, including his parent club Korona Kielce, Wisła Kraków, Śląsk Wrocław, and Pafos FC. Nevertheless, none of these clubs made a formal offer. The transfer to Inter was unforeseen, as Kaczmarski was expected to stay with Empoli at least until the winter transfer window, but the chance to join the recent Champions League finalist led to a quick agreement between the involved parties.
