Grbić is currently a free agent following his tenure with Rizespor in the Turkish Super League. The club is aiming to acquire a younger goalkeeper without incurring a transfer fee, and Grbić is among the candidates being considered. The 29-year-old Croatian goalkeeper previously spent three years as a backup for Jan Oblak at Atlético Madrid. His recent performance in Turkey saw him conceding 38 goals in 24 appearances, with Rizespor finishing ninth in the league. Celta, having secured a spot in the Europa League by finishing seventh in the Spanish league, is eager to strengthen their squad with a free agent like Grbić, who could potentially make a return to La Liga.
