Nottingham Forest are interested in Venezia's Italian and Ivorian midfielder Issa Doumbia and are one of several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Brighton, to have watched the 22-year-old in recent months. Intermediaries have confirmed growing interest from within the English top flight for the Italy Under-21s international, who has 3 caps. Chelsea and Everton are also among the clubs interested in him. Clubs outside of England are also monitoring him, including Serie A's Napoli, Inter Milan, and AC Milan, alongside Portuguese teams Benfica and Sporting. Doumbia's contract runs until 2029, and with Venezia on course for promotion, the club is in a strong negotiating position. The player joined Venezia in July 2024 for a fee reported to be €1.0 million and has a current market value of €8.00m according to Transfermarkt. Reports from April 2026 state Venezia's asking price is €15 million, following reports from February 2026 that the club would only negotiate for €10 million or more. The club also reportedly rejected offers of approximately €6 million during the January 2026 window.
