Ioannis Pittas Transfer from CSKA Sofia to Widzew Lodz
Widzew Łódź is showing interest in CSKA's 29-year-old forward Ioannis Pittas. The Cyprus international is a personal choice of the Polish team's chairman of the board, Dariusz Adamczuk. Previously, it was thought that Pittas might move to a country in the Persian Gulf. CSKA had originally signed the player in February 2025 after outbidding another Ekstraklasa team, Legia Warsaw. The Warsaw club later made an unsuccessful attempt to buy him from CSKA, but the offer was rejected. Pittas is no longer the first-choice striker, and the "Armymen" are targeting a quality Argentinean forward. The Cypriot has 56 caps and 11 goals for his country. His contract with the Bulgarian club runs until June 2028, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €2.50m.
