Igor Tyjon Transfer from Blackburn Rovers to Widzew Lodz
Igor Tyjon, a 17-year-old English-Polish forward, has refused to sign a new contract with Blackburn Rovers. His current deal expires in June. Widzew Lodz is one of several Polish clubs interested in the player. Raków Częstochowa, Legia Warszawa, and Jagiellonia Białystok are also monitoring him. The situation has also attracted interest from major English clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United. Tyjon has been capped five times for England's U18s, scoring three goals, and has registered four goals and one assist in five Premier League 2 appearances this season. It was reported that in the summer of 2025, Arsenal had bids of up to €3 million for the player rejected. In January 2026, it was suggested that a fee of around €1.15 million would be enough to complete a deal.
